About the Recipe

This year go the extra mile for Thanksgiving or Christmas and make a homemade cranberry sauce. You can either make this Thanksgiving side dish ahead of time or the day of. Ingredients

  • 2 cups or 222g cranberries

  • 1/2 cup or 125ml cranberry juice

  • 1/2 cup or 125ml orange juice

  • 1/4 cup or 45g granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup or 45g raisins

  • 1/2 cup or 60gr chopped dehydrated apricots

  • 1/4 cup or 45g chopped dehydrated figs

  • 1.5 tbsp orange zest

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1/4 tsp ground clove

Preparation

1. Add all ingredients to a sauce pan.  Cook, partially covered, over medium heat.  Occasionally stir and smash a few cranberries.  Reduce until it starts to become thick.  Note, when it cools it will become really thick.


2. Pour into a serving container, let cook and then place covered in the refrigerator and serve cold
